Welcome to Koki Catering and Personal Chef Services
To Indonesian families, this word signifies the trusted preparer of nourishing, joyful food-the ultimate Personal Chef. As a child, I learned to cook at the knee of my Koki. The wonderful smells, her magically deft hands, her shrewd selection of the freshest ingredients at the noisy market, all infused me with the love of this process. I want to bring this to you in your home.
Busy couples, new moms, college students; let me create the comfort of truly "home-cooked" food for you. From an intimate dinner for two in the privacy of your own dining room to a sumptuous party for forty sprawling through your house; you don't have to be rich to enjoy this luxury. I will shop, cook and clean for your event and be your Koki.
Cooking has been my passion since I was a little girl. After a successful 10 year career as a graphic artist I left the corporate world of advertising to teach computer skills at my sons' public grammar school. In January of 2009 I decided to pursue my first passion, cooking. Forming Koki Catering has been one of the greatest joys of my life second only to the birth of my 2 sons.
My niche is in-home personal chef services, serving the full spectrum of cuisines. I have catered informally for family and friends since arriving from Indonesia 19 years ago. The meals have been varied; from intimate haute cuisine wedding dinners to large Indonesian buffets and everything in between.
I graduated from Diablo Valley College Culinary School with certification in Culinary Art, Baking and Hotel Management. I consistently achieved a 4.0 GPA in both academic and culinary classes. During this time, I have provided catering services for numerous events, including the 2009 AT&T Pro-Am Golf Tournament, Concours d Elegance.
